Dr. Sheri Tomlin
Of Jamaican origin, this psychiatric mental health practitioner and doctor of nursing practice has forged a remarkable professional career that spans several continents and disciplines. Currently practicing in Dallas, Texas and Las Vegas, Nevada, her expertise in mental health care is complemented by her leadership in national and global campaigns to empower individuals and support communities. Beyond her clinical work, she leads a nonprofit organization whose goal is to improve health care systems and increase access to technology, renewable energy, and education for those based on the African continent, a place close to her heart. Dr. Tomlin-Taal is also passionate about martial arts, championing its benefits for community and mental health in Africa. Her creativity includes freelance writing and screenplay development for her third novel, a comedy called "Monkey Business", while her first novel, "African Bodyguard", was adapted into a film available on YouTube. This multi-faceted professional embodies a commitment to mental health, philanthropy, and the arts, and is making a significant impact across diverse sectors globally.
